Kaan Korkmaz
Kaan Korkmaz (Blxsh) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Turkey, based in the Netherlands.
Working across installation, moving image, sound, VR, and sensor-based interaction, his practice explores how inherited traditions, belief systems, and emerging technologies shape our relationships to nature, to each other, and to the future. Drawing from personal history and nomadic cultural knowledge, he creates immersive works where bodies, stories, and systems intertwine.
Rather than treating design as a tool to solve problems, his work uses it as a way to question, feel, and reimagine how past and future can coexist in ever-shifting landscapes.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Gerrit Rietveld Academie (VAV – Moving Image) and a master’s degree from the Master Institute of Visual Cultures (Situated Design
